We are looking for an experienced Director of Studio Engineering to lead and oversee technical operations at our PlayDigital division, driving innovation, efficiency, and the successful delivery of world-class digital games.

What You Will Do

As Director of Studio Engineering at IGT PlayDigital, you will act as a technical expert and advisor across all studios, driving engineering excellence, standardization, and innovation. While you won't have direct reports, you will influence engineering managers and collaborate across teams to elevate technology, processes, and platforms company-wide.

-    Define, standardize, and advance engineering practices across all PlayDigital gamingstudios
-    Influence and guide Engineering Managers to ensure alignment with technical strategy and best practices
-    Lead cross-studio special projects, bringing together talent from multiple teams
-    Partner with GDK, RGS, and other technology groups to enhance platforms and drive innovation
-    Identify, evaluate, and lead the implementation of AI engineering initiatives across the organization
-    Act as a key technical consultant and advisor, supporting decision-making at multiple levels

Qualifications

-    10+ years of leadership or managerial experience (strong individual contributors with consulting/influence experience are also considered)
-    10+ years of experience in the gaming industry (slot-focused)
-    Full-stack engineering background with strong technical depth
-    Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive cross-team alignment
-    Strong consulting mindset, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Benefits and Culture

-    Permanent employment contract and a competitive salary.
-    Private health insurance for you and your family.
-    Flexible working hours, including a hybrid work model, along with various initiatives that support wellbeing and work-life balance.
-    Opportunity to learn and continuously improve your skills through collaboration with e-learning platforms.
-    Clear career development path with well-defined growth opportunities.
-    A vibrant and stimulating work environment within Class-A office space.

At IGT, we believe compensation should reflect you-your unique background, skills, experience, and even where you work. That's why our starting compensation range is $140,570 to $220,000 USD, with room to go higher or lower depending on the full picture. We also follow all local pay laws and collective bargaining agreements, so everything's above board.

But wait-there's more! Base pay is just the beginning. Our Total Rewards program is packed with perks:

  • Sales roles? You might earn commissions.

  • Other roles? You could snag discretionary bonuses.

  • Benefits galore: Health, dental, vision, life, accident & disability insurance.

  • 401(k) Savings Plan with company contributions to help you plan for the future.

Note: Some programs have eligibility requirements-but we'll help you navigate those.
