This remote position enables our counselors to provide outpatient services from a comfortable location of their choice, equipped for telehealth consultations. You will engage with clients through digital platforms, maintaining a structured yet flexible schedule that caters to the needs of our diverse clientele. • Provide immediate crisis counseling and intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health issues, ensuring they receive timely and effective support.
• Assess and respond to incoming student support referrals through our standardized platform, Maxient, documenting all interactions and interventions in detailed client records.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records, adhering to all relevant state and federal guidelines to ensure compliance and uphold the highest ethical standards.
• Develop and deliver professional development training for faculty and staff, helping to raise awareness and understanding of mental health issues within the academic environment.
• Offer consultations for students, staff, and faculty regarding best practices for managing psychological concerns, fostering a supportive educational atmosphere.
• Design and implement mental health outreach initiatives and prevention programs aimed at promoting wellness and academic achievement, thus contributing to student retention.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions addressing a range of health-related concerns, including but not limited to mental health and substance abuse.

This role primarily serves a diverse range of clients in an outpatient setting including students experiencing academic-related stress, emotional distress, and mental health disorders. Our counselors take a holistic approach, understanding the unique challenges faced by each student and working collaboratively to address their needs and support their mental wellness.

• A valid licensing qualification as LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or LMFT is mandatory for this role, as only licensed professionals can be billed through Medicare.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant mental health discipline including counseling, psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy is required.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), are essential for maintaining accurate client records and supporting documentation.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple cases and crises as they arise is crucial.
• Self-motivated individuals who can work independently with little supervision will be most successful in this role.

• Experience working with geriatric populations is desirable but not a strict requirement.

• A competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 122,000 annually based on experience, skills, and whether the position is part-time or full-time.
