• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' mental health needs and emotional well-being, delivering tailored recommendations for intervention.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques, addressing varying issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
• Utilize solution-focused psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) methods to empower students and help them develop coping strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical records diligently, ensuring compliance with all regulations and preserving the confidentiality of client information.
• Coordinate care with educational staff to develop a holistic approach to support each student's journey, advocating for their mental health within the academic context.
• Provide psychoeducation and resources to students and their families, helping them to understand mental health challenges and navigate available support systems effectively.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and trends in mental health practices, integrating new knowledge into your clinical work.

This role specifically focuses on working with school-aged children and adolescents from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds who may face a range of challenges, including emotional disturbances, behavioral issues, and psychosocial stressors. You will contribute to fostering a safe and supportive school environment, where students feel seen, heard, and valued.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid and active LCSW license in the state of California.
• At least two years of direct clinical experience in a social work or mental health setting, with a strong foundation in school-based practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing collaborative care principles to build rapport with students and families.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that promote a positive therapeutic alliance with children, parents, and educators.

• Familiarity with working in a school environment or with educational systems, as well as prior experience providing consultation to teachers and staff.

• Knowledge of additional resources and services within the community to support comprehensive care for students and their families.
