This remote position allows for flexibility, enabling the social worker to create a suitable work-life balance while engaging with students and families effectively. Our school-based setting emphasizes teamwork and communication among various stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, and family members. Although the position is remote, regular check-ins with the school staff will ensure alignment in supporting students. Standard working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional evening or weekend hours as necessary based on client needs. On-call availability may be required during critical situations.

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges, utilizing a holistic approach that considers environmental, familial, and individual factors.
• Collaborate with students, families, and school personnel to develop tailored intervention plans based on specific academic and personal goals.
• Provide counseling and emotional support during one-on-one sessions or group therapy, helping students navigate transitions such as starting high school or addressing personal issues.
• Advocate for students’ rights and access to necessary social services, ensuring they receive comprehensive support throughout their school experience.
• Facilitate communication among family members, educators, and mental health professionals to address potential conflicts and improve the support network for the student.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all interactions, assessments, and care plans within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Stay current on the latest social work practices and educational methodologies to enhance service delivery and ensure best practices.

The primary focus of this role is on students enrolled in the school system who require psychological and emotional support. This position acknowledges the multifaceted challenges of navigating education and personal development during school years. The ideal candidate will empathetically understand the pressures faced by students, from academic stresses to social dynamics, and will be committed to fostering their growth and resilience.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of relevant social work experience, ideally within educational or community-based settings.
• Strong grounding in social work principles, especially concerning adolescent mental health.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interactions with a diverse range of students and family members.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, along with basic computer applications.

• Experience in school social work or experience working with children and adolescents in a supportive capacity.
• Familiarity with community resources and local agencies to facilitate client referrals.
• Skill in conflict resolution and mediation, particularly involving family dynamics.
