As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify the mental health needs of students, developing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Provide psychotherapy services, utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques tailored to the unique circumstances of each child or adolescent.
• Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards are met.
• Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals to create a cohesive support system for students, ensuring their emotional and developmental needs are understood and met.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in case consultations, peer reviews, and training sessions aimed at enhancing therapeutic practices.
• Educate students and families on mental health matters, available resources, and coping strategies, fostering a supportive environment for open communication about mental health.
• Manage a caseload effectively, working diligently to achieve treatment goals while adapting strategies as necessary to ensure student success.

The focus of this role encompasses a diverse range of children and adolescents dealing with mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will provide care in a school setting, where students often face unique pressures and expectations. Your expertise will help to create environments that encourage emotional growth and resilience among students.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical or school setting, with a strong emphasis on psychotherapy services.
• Proficient understanding of solution-focused therapy interventions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Solid problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities to navigate complex situations and provide appropriate responses.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a proactive treatment team.

• Prior experience working within school environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with local mental health resources and educational systems in Connecticut.
• Knowledge of culturally competent practices and the ability to work with diverse populations.
