Our social workers utilize telehealth technology to conduct assessments and provide counseling, ensuring that we can meet the varied needs of our clients in a timely and efficient manner. • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of students to evaluate their emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with students, families, and educational personnel, adapting strategies to help address specific challenges.
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to students coping with difficult life situations, including family dynamics, peer relationships, and personal challenges.
• Advocate for students' access to essential educational and community resources, guiding families through available support systems including counseling services, after-school programs, and health services.
• Work alongside teachers, special education staff, and other mental health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to each student's care.
• Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups and adapt care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Lead workshops and informational sessions for parents and staff to promote awareness of mental health issues and available resources.
• Maintain meticulous up-to-date records, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes, adhering to confidentiality and compliance regulations.
• Stay informed of current trends in social work practices and regulations to uphold the highest ethical standards in service delivery.

The primary focus of this position is on school-aged children and adolescents within the Pittsburgh community, particularly those who may be experiencing challenges related to mental health, family dynamics, and educational barriers. Our goal is to provide tailored support that fosters resilience, emotional health, and social skills in students, leading to successful academic and personal outcomes.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• A minimum of two years of experience in social work, ideally in an educational or community-based setting.
• Deep understanding of child and adolescent development, social work methodologies, and community resources.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students and families, reinforcing trust and effective communication.
• Strong problem-solving and assessment skills in both individual and family-centered approaches.
• Proficient with case management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Experience with crisis intervention strategies and trauma-informed care.
• Familiarity with educational laws and policies regarding student support services.
• Previous work addressing issues related to mental health, bullying, and academic difficulties within school systems.
