• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand students’ mental health concerns, strengths, and community resources.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing a wide array of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and educational staff, ensuring that every plan is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions and psychoeducation classes that educate students and parents on mental health awareness, coping strategies, and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, school psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide holistic and coordinated care, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and invested in the student’s well-being.
• Offer crisis intervention services and safety planning to help students navigate acute situations effectively and with confidence.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that adheres to ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with school policies and regulations.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and share insights with colleagues about best practices in mental health treatment.

This role primarily focuses on school-aged children, many of whom may be experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, or traumatic experiences. Your work will support not just individual students but also their families and the school community as a whole. The successful candidate will be attuned to the unique challenges faced by young individuals, particularly in the current climate where mental health needs are heightened.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active and current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in a mental health and/or outpatient setting, preferably with children.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches and therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and keen assessment skills to facilitate positive client interactions.

• Experience in school-based mental health services or working with youth in a clinical context.
• Familiarity with Integrated Care Models and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
• Certification in specialized therapeutic modalities (e.g., Play Therapy, EMDR) is a plus.
