Hourly: $26.63 - $28.89
POSITION SUMMARY
The Department of Social Work, in the JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences at National University, invites applications for part-time faculty in Psychology with a specialization in Social Work. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record, of or potential for, excellence in teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university's adult student body. This position primarily works with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and success.
Essential Job Duties:
Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
Maintain a positive, safe student-centric learning environment.
Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required:
Master's degree with a focus in Social Work or a related field and 18 credit hours of Social Work coursework from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum two (2) years of direct teaching experience at the master and/or doctoral level.
LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Three plus (3+) years of professional and/or research experience in Social Work.
Must have personal computer and ability to facilitate online instruction and communications remotely.
Preferred:
Doctorate degree with focus in Social Work.
Research-based, scholarly, peer-reviewed journal article publications.
Curriculum development experience.
Experience guiding students through the dissertation process.
Experience in higher education.
Experience working in a technology-driven enterprise.
