Transportation Design Project Engineer - Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with or lead transportation planning and engineering studies on a variety of exciting projects throughout Wisconsin
  • Prepare environmental and design documentation including report writing
  • Work on automated highway design to include plan preparation, drainage design, quantity takeoffs, and construction cost estimating
  • Participate in and/or lead public involvement activities
  • Assist with project pursuits including the preparation of proposals, project interview support, and estimating level of effort for new projects.  
  • Serve as a technical resource for project staff and assist with their professional development
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Transportation Design Project Engineer  - Skills and Requirements:

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
  • 8+ years of transportation design experience.
  • A professional engineering license from the State of Wisconsin is required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Experience with the WisDOT facilities development process is highly preferred
  • Applicable U.S. based work experience.
