What You'll Do

  • Team Management and Talent Development (50-60% of the time)
    • Directly manage ~12 quality assurance analysts, fostering their professional development and engagement
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings (1:1s) to support, coach, and evaluate performance
    • Identify the potential of each team member, define clear career paths, and support their progression
    • Create an environment of trust and collaboration by building a high-performing team, fostering accountability, development, conflict resolution, and effective resource management with empathy

  • Continuous Improvement and Systemic Problem-Solving (30-40% of the time)
    • Challenge the Status Quo: Analyze operational inefficiencies and structural team challenges with a fresh perspective
    • Design Sustainable Solutions: Develop and implement improvement projects
    • Optimize Team Efficiency: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to increase productivity and team member satisfaction

  • Collaboration with QA Leaders (10-20% of the time)
    • Work closely with other QA managers in a team spirit to align strategic and operational efforts
    • Be able to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders, understand internal challenges, and use your influence to gain necessary support for projects

What You Bring

  • Required skills:
    • University degree in computer science, engineering, actuarial science, or related field
    • 8+ years of quality assurance experience
    • 3+ years of experience in a QA team management role
    • Proven people management experience: managing teams of at least 10 people with demonstrated skills in coaching, talent development, and performance management
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in French and English
    • Solid knowledge of quality assurance processes and industry standards for software testing
    • Ability to inspire and motivate a team, creating an environment of trust, collaboration, and accountability
    • Passion for helping others grow, identifying their potential, and advancing their careers
    • Ability to see the big picture and align individual efforts with broader organizational objectives
    • Ability to persevere in the face of challenges, maintain high standards under pressure, and bounce back from setbacks
    • Comfort navigating complex structures, influencing, and managing organizational dynamics
    • Available for travel to the Montreal office

  • Assets:
    • Previous experience in a SAFe environment or large-scale Agile methodologies

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will on a regular basis interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its international scope.
