Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level to senior-level candidate in Structural Engineering with a minimum of five to ten years of experience in the design of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures with both new and existing construction for our San Diego office. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Expected Base Salary: $95,000.00 to $140,000.00, depending on education, experience, and licensure.
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
  • Competitive end-of-year discretionaryย bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
  • Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching with 9% Employee Contribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform project management duties and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of projects.
  • Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
  • Lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs.
  • Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience with structural computer analysis software systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with the latest release of Autodesk Revit design tools.
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients.
  • Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with the structural design of buildings or similar structures.
  • Licensed California Civil (PE) required.
  • Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.

Expected Base Salary: $95,000.00 to $140,000.00, depending on education, experience, and licensure.
