The position involves a standard workweek from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, where counselors will conduct sessions via telehealth platforms. • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' mental and emotional health, identifying underlying issues related to trauma.
• Collaborate with patients to develop tailored treatment plans that include both therapeutic strategies and coping techniques for managing stress and emotional trauma.
• Actively engage in therapy sessions, providing a safe environment for patients to express their thoughts and feelings.
• Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and changing needs.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma recovery processes, stress management techniques, and community resources available for support.
• Work closely with healthcare professionals, social services, and community organizations to establish a comprehensive support system for patients.
• Continuously pursue professional development opportunities to maintain National Certified Counselor certification and enhance your expertise in mental health.

The LMHC will primarily work with patients who are grappling with various mental health challenges stemming from trauma injuries. These may include individuals dealing with the aftermath of accidents, physical injuries, or other traumatic experiences. The counselor's role will be crucial in providing not only therapeutic support but also in facilitating access to community resources that can aid in their recovery journey.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.
• Possession of a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• A minimum of three years of direct experience working with trauma patients.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and report generation.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Experience with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is favorable but not mandatory.

• Hands-on experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored for trauma recovery.
• Familiarity with integrating technology into patient care through telehealth modalities.
• Exposure to community outreach initiatives or program development within mental health services.
