• Provide evidence-based mindfulness-based interventions to clients, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), aimed at enhancing emotional well-being and facilitating stress management.
• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify each client’s unique stressors, therapeutic goals, and individual challenges, crafting personalized treatment plans accordingly.
• Teach clients mindfulness techniques such as meditation, breathing exercises, and self-reflective practices to build self-awareness and emotional regulation.
• Facilitate engaging group workshops that cover topics such as stress management, resilience building, and mindfulness practices to foster community and collective growth.
• Incorporate mindfulness into individual therapy sessions, aligning therapeutic interventions with each client's specific mental health concerns and objectives.
• Collaborate closely with fellow therapists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive treatment approach for each client.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, including detailed records of mindfulness interventions and treatment plans, adhering to best practices in confidentiality and compliance.
• Commit to personal and professional development through regular mindfulness practice and continuing education opportunities to enhance expertise in therapeutic approaches.

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work primarily with a diverse population seeking to address a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. Clients will be individuals from varied backgrounds, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of Atlanta, advocating for a therapeutic environment that respects and incorporates each client’s unique perspectives and experiences.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia is mandatory.
• Proficient understanding of integrating mindfulness techniques into therapy is essential, and familiarity with MBSR practices is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a warm and inviting therapeutic atmosphere for clients.

• Experience in delivering mindfulness-based interventions or group therapy sessions is highly advantageous.
• Prior involvement in community mental health settings or similar environments that prioritize holistic, client-centered care is desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional growth in mindfulness and therapeutic methods through workshops, trainings, or relevant certifications.
