Key Responsibilities

• Deliver mindfulness-based interventions, particularly Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to clients seeking improved mental health and increased life satisfaction.
• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify individual stressors, personal challenges, and therapeutic goals, allowing for tailored mindfulness practices.
• Guide clients in mindfulness exercises, meditation, and breathing techniques during therapy sessions, emphasizing self-awareness and emotional regulation.
• Organize and facilitate online group workshops and classes focused on mindfulness, stress management, and building resilience, fostering community support.
• Incorporate mindfulness strategies into individual therapy sessions to cater to specific client needs effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and healthcare providers to ensure an integrated approach to therapy and wellness.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including personal mindfulness practice, to continuously enhance your skills in MBSR and related therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will work with a diverse client population, including individuals managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. By facilitating mindfulness practices, you will support clients in building coping strategies and fostering emotional resilience, ensuring they are empowered to enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to create a welcoming and supportive therapeutic environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing digital platforms for therapy and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience and training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or other mindfulness interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate mindfulness techniques into therapeutic practices effectively.
• Previous experience working in a community health setting or with underrepresented populations.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
