This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while connecting with clients via our telehealth platform. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients to evaluate both mental health and substance use issues, paying special attention to possible co-occurring disorders.
• Developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based interventions tailored to their unique needs.
• Providing therapy services—both individual and group therapy—to equip clients with skills for coping, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and nurses, to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to treatment.
• Utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to support and engage clients effectively during their recovery process.
• Educating clients and their families on the connection between mental health and substance use, underscoring the importance of adherence to their treatment plans.
• Documenting treatment progress and interventions meticulously, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participating in ongoing professional development, supervision, and case conferences to enhance your expertise in co-occurring disorder treatment.

You will primarily work with adults experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This client population often requires tailored treatment strategies that address complex interdependencies between their mental health and substance use, enabling meaningful pathways to recovery.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies specific to co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A solid understanding of the intricate relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Experience working in an integrated care setting with populations affected by co-occurring disorders.
• Previous telehealth experience or comfort using virtual platforms for therapy sessions.
• Familiarity with documentation and treatment planning software specific to mental health services.
