CardWorks Servicing, LLC provides end-to end operational servicing functions for credit cards, secured cards, and installment loans. We service consumer and small business loans across the credit spectrum and offers backup servicing and due diligence services to capital providers and trustees.

Merrick Bank is an FDIC-insured Utah Industrial Loan Bank. Merrick operates three main business lines: credit cards, recreational lending, and merchant services.

Carson Smithfield, LLC provides a variety of post-charge-off debt recovery services, including digital self-service, IVR, live agent, and external agency management.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Sr. Analyst of Consumer Lending Analytics will contribute to driving growth and improving risk-adjusted returns for Merrick's Recreational and Flow Lending businesses. Merrick's Recreational Lending business offers secured installment loans through our dealer partners for RVs, boats, trailers, and more. Merrick's Flow Lending business purchases consumer loan assets originated and serviced by other lenders. This role will support improvements across credit strategy, verification strategy, pricing, and valuations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Credit Strategy: Analyzes credit policies such as approve/decline criteria, policy limits, verification requirements, and risk model implementations.
  • Performance Monitoring and Valuations: Monitors and interprets key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to effectively manage the P&L, providing actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Pricing & Product Optimization: Conducts comprehensive, data-driven analyses and market research to identify opportunities for product enhancements, pricing adjustments, and partner/customer experience improvements that increase profitability and market positioning.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations
  • Responsible for complying with all of the Bank's internal control policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject.
  • Responsible for communicating problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
  • Maintain ethical standards, judgment, and confidentiality in all matters.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Math, or Sciences) is required.
  • Two (2+) years of experience using data-driven analysis to inform business or product strategy.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL or a scripting language (e.g., Python, R).
  • Comfort working hands-on with large analytical datasets to perform complex analyses.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work within cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in consumer financial services or fintech industries, particularly with indirect and/or secured lending products.
  • Experience with credit policy and/or pricing strategies.
  • High curiosity and learning agility, with a strong initiative and willingness to roll up one's sleeves.
This role will be fully remote. This role can also be hybrid/onsite for one of the following locations: South Jordan, UT or Wilmington, DE.#INDHP
