Pay: $18-$20 per hour
Description
APS Medical Billing located in Toledo Ohio, is looking for a motivated individual to join our payments team as a bank statement processor. Beginning service in 1960, APS has grown into one of the premier billing companies, currently billing for over 250 client locations throughout the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Reconcile client bank statements
  • Process the payments received from insurance companies, patients, and other entities toward the settlement of claims
  • Ensure all payments are posted correctly, discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly and month-end closing deadlines are consistently met
  • Communicate trends or recurring reconciliation issues to supervisor/manager

Qualifications
  • Experience and understanding of insurance payment process, EOB's and ERA files
  • Reconciliation experience
  • Strong keyboard skills - alpha and numeric - 7500 plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines
  • Collaborates effectively with team members across the department to support shared goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Reliable, organized and self-motivated
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
