  • Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to social work practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on students enrolled in our Special Education Program who present a range of mental health challenges, including ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and trauma-related conditions. These students often require individualized support to thrive academically and socially within the school community. As an LCSW, you will play a pivotal role in empowering these children by addressing their emotional and psychological needs.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid LCSW licensure in Virginia.
  • Sound understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care practices.
  • Proficient in conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain compliance with documentation standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a focus on special education or child mental health.
  • Experience in delivering therapy in educational settings.
