engineering and installation capabilities across wireless, microwave, satellite communications

Job Summary

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for developing complete designs, preparing construction

documents and reports, and supporting civil and structural engineering projects. This role

requires strong collaboration, project coordination, and technical decision-making to support

engineering objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, clients, vendors,
  • and regulatory agencies
  • Apply knowledge across multiple construction disciplines including grading, drainage,
  • site layout, water systems, sewage systems, paving, and structural components
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, subcontractors, project
  • managers, and construction managers to ensure compliance with codes and standards
  • Provide technical guidance to drafters, designers, and construction personnel
  • Make sound engineering decisions related to ethics, cost, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Alaska preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with geotechnical investigations, including construction in frozen soils (preferred)
  • Ability to review and redline drawings and familiarity with AutoCAD drafting standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Teams, Outlook), AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
  • Experience with foundation design in permafrost, rock, and conventional soils (piles, rock anchors, concrete pads)
  • Experience designing with steel, aluminum, wood, and concrete materials
  • Knowledge of standard construction practices and applicable building codes
  • Minimum of 2 years of design experience post-licensure preferred
  • Valid driver's license required Requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must currently reside in Alaska due to business and employment requirements
