Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations by performing initial interviews, assessing clientsโ€™ mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
  • Document all pertinent case details from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment accurately and promptly.
  • Develop individualized and evidence-based treatment and recovery plans that cater to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing effective therapeutic modalities and techniques.
  • Continuously monitor clientsโ€™ progress throughout the treatment lifecycle and adjust plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with fellow mental health experts, physicians, and nursing staff to create cohesive intervention strategies that support comprehensive care.
  • Follow up with psychiatric specialists and attending medical professionals regarding clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring seamless communication and care continuity.
  • Identify behaviors that may impede recovery and strategize preventative measures in consultation with affected clients.
  • Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, fostering a holistic approach to recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a varied patient population, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The counselor will also work with families and groups, addressing dynamics affecting mental health and facilitating therapeutic interventions that promote collective healing.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
  • Proof of successful completion of required examinations (NCE, NCMHCE).
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience working in a mental health setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly with applications such as AVATAR.
