Lead Software Developer (with OutSystems & Alteryx)
Location: Durham, NC (remote)
Visa: Independent Work Authorization only

 
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Lead OutSystems & Alteryx Developer to support the development of modern enterprise applications and data automation initiatives. This role will focus on delivering scalable low-code solutions, streamlining business processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making through advanced workflow automation and analytics. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in OutSystems application development and Alteryx-based data engineering solutions, while partnering with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality digital products in a fast-paced Agile environment. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 9+ years of hands-on experience in OutSystems development • Strong expertise in developing Reactive Web and Mobile applications using OutSystems • Proven experience with Alteryx Designer for data preparation, transformation, and analytics • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and API integrations • Experience working with REST and SOAP web services and integration patterns • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise application ecosystems • Exposure to cloud-native architectures and integration frameworks • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and technical leadership • Experience driving application modernization and process automation initiatives • Strong verbal and written communication skills Key Responsibilities: • Develop and enhance enterprise-grade applications using the OutSystems platform, including Reactive Web and Mobile solutions • Design, implement, and maintain automated data workflows and analytical processes using Alteryx Designer • Build integrations with internal and external systems through APIs, web services, and database connectivity • Work closely with business users, architects, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions • Optimize application performance, reliability, and maintainability through best development practices • Participate in Agile planning sessions, sprint activities, code reviews, and release management processes • Identify and resolve technical issues related to applications, integrations, and data processing workflows • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by recommending enhancements to development standards and solution architecture • Support testing, deployment, and production readiness activities across project lifecycles
