Responsibilities, Requirements, and Total Rewards
What You'll Be Doing
As a valuable part of our Building Services team, a Project Manager 2 will lead the design, coordination, and execution of multidisciplinary engineering projects across municipal, institutional, commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects. You will oversee project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of MEP projects while maintaining a strong focus on quality and client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing and executing engineering design tasks for MEP projects, from conceptual design through construction oversight and administration
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams through all phases of design and construction
  • Support client development activities, including the development of proposals, approach, scope, budget, and qualification packages
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Lead coordination efforts with architects, owners, contractors, and internal technical teams
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and building systems design projects
  • Review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and networking
  • Managing and mentoring project staff, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goals
  • Conduct quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency across project deliverables

What You'll Need
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Minimum of 10 years of consulting engineering and project management experience
  • Strong understanding of building codes, energy standards, and construction practices
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex building systems projects
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and consultants
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and client management skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn and self-motivated in improving team and personal performance
  • Ability to thrive in a multitasking environment with the flexibility to work with different project teams locally and across several offices and business lines
  • Strong leadership ability and aptitude and a desire to manage and mentor junior staff
  • Experience with sustainable design and energy-efficient building systems
