Job description

About The Position

ChargeAfter is pioneering the embedded lending network for point-of-sale consumer financing for merchants and financial institutions. Powered by a network of lenders and a data-driven matching engine, ChargeAfter streamlines the distribution of credit into a single, secure, and reliable embedded lending platform. Merchants can rapidly implement ChargeAfter’s omni-channel platform online, in-store, and at every point of sale, enabling them to provide personalized financing choices to their customers.

Here at ChargeAfter, we are building the next unicorn in the Fintech industry and are looking for a talented and success-driven Project Manager to help make it happen!

We are seeking a self-starting, outcome-driven Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-level client implementations from kickoff through go-live. This individual will be responsible for end-to-end delivery oversight, cross-functional coordination, and high-touch client engagement. A key focus of this role is ensuring strong product utilization — driving customer adoption, feature engagement, and realized business value.

The ideal candidate is not only a strong communicator and organizer, but someone who takes full ownership of their projects, strives for measurable impact, and is eager to grow into a strategic delivery leader.

Project Execution

  • Own and drive the full lifecycle of enterprise client implementations, from initial onboarding through successful launch and post-launch warranty support.
  • Build, manage, and execute detailed project plans with clear milestones, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Proactively identify risks and blockers, own resolution paths, and ensure delivery remains aligned with scope and business objectives.
  • Champion project success by not just overseeing tasks—but outcomes and business value.
  • Demonstrated improvement in product utilization by enterprise clients — with a focus on increasing feature adoption, engagement depth, and time-to-value realization. This is a core success measure and a reflection of implementation quality.

Client & Executive Communication

  • Serve as the primary client-facing lead, providing project confidence and clarity at every step.
  • Facilitate onboarding, working sessions, and milestone reviews—including meetings with director- and C-level stakeholders.
  • Translate complex delivery issues into clear, strategic updates for both business and technical audiences.
  • Set and manage expectations across senior client teams, building trust and transparency at all levels.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with internal teams—including Implementation Engineers, Product, Business Analysts, and Customer Success—to align on outcomes and execution paths.
  • Serve as the voice of the client internally, ensuring that needs are clearly translated into delivery requirements.
  • Elevate cross-departmental collaboration with proactive communication, documentation, and structured follow-up.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Own project status updates, risk logs, and weekly reporting—customized for internal leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation (SoWs, workback plans, change logs, etc.) to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Lead project close-outs and retrospectives, identifying opportunities to improve both process and customer outcomes.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, with at least 2 years leading enterprise SaaS or software implementations.
  • Strong ability to communicate with all levels, including technical stakeholders, senior business leaders, and C-suite executives.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with complex dependencies.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and capable of driving alignment without needing constant input.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong executive presence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with agile or hybrid project methodologies
  • Familiarity with project tools such as ClickUp, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or Jira
  • PMP, CSM, or other project management certification a plus
  • Comfort working with product roadmaps, APIs, and enterprise systems integrations
