Description

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI) is seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to lead Agile delivery teams supporting a portfolio of mission-critical software development initiatives for a Federal Government customer. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the programmatic, financial, personnel, and reporting aspects of 1-3 Agile software development teams (approximately 6 team members per team). This role serves as the primary interface with government stakeholders while ensuring the successful delivery of complex IT initiatives in a federal environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between government clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and high-quality service delivery
  • Lead and support complex Agile development efforts across functional, technical, and policy domains
  • Define project scope, phases, deliverables, milestones, and evaluation criteria
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to track project performance, workflows, and deliverables
  • Monitor project assignments, timelines, and government deliverables to ensure accountability and adherence to schedules
  • Coordinate logistics and technology for meetings, including stakeholder engagement sessions
  • Respond promptly to team and client inquiries
  • Oversee Help Desk operations (if applicable to assigned project)
  • Prepare and deliver weekly status updates and monthly reports on project performance and progress
  • Manage full project lifecycle activities, including budgeting, staffing, vendor coordination, and release planning 


Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing Agile software development teams
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearance (fingerprinting required)

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting federal government contracts
  • Experience managing projects with a Help Desk or support services component

Preferred Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • SAFe Certification or equivalent Scrum Master certification
