As a Software Manager within PNC's Retail Tech organization, you will be based in Home Location, TX.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field
7+ years of experience in software product development and delivery using software development languages and frameworks such as Objective C, Swift, Kotlin, Java
Highly proficient with XCode/iOS/Objective-C/Swift development OR Java/Android Studio/Android SDK/3rd Party SDK development
1+ years of leading a team
Understanding of the App Development and Deployment cycles
Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments
Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks
Understanding of Microservices - Open Shift Platform/Apigee (Nice to have)
Understanding of CICD, Jenkins pipelines (Nice to have)
Experience with Micron (Nice to have)
Responsibilities:
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of mobile solutions across iOS and Android.
Pursues continuous improvement in development processes, standards, and quality
Coach, mentor, and lead multiple groups of software engineers
Work with product owners across businesses to understand market needs & vision
Quickly define and deliver working software prototypes
Communicate effectively with immediate team and leadership, ensuring team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy, and results
Collaborate with cross functional teams such as architecture, backend integration, visual design, UX teams, QA, etc.This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC. If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace.   • Manages development projects, development teams and application support functions.
  • Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs.
  • Monitors and maintains adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis.
  • Maximizes staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs.
  • Analyzes applications to ensure that all systems that are developed, meet business needs and specifications.
