• Conduct thorough virtual assessments and intake interviews to understand each patient’s mental health history, challenges, and treatment goals.
• Devise and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing therapeutic modalities tailored to individual needs and preferences.
• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions through video platforms, offering support during crises and guiding patients in coping strategies.
• Facilitate engaging online group therapy sessions and workshops that are designed to address common mental health topics, such as anxiety management, coping skills, and personal development.
• Work collaboratively with various stakeholders including medical professionals, community organizations, and referrals to ensure comprehensive support for your patients.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and wellness, enhancing community resources, and establishing networks of support.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation compliant with ethical guidelines and legal standards, ensuring each patient’s progress is accurately recorded in our electronic health records (EHR).

Our center serves a diverse population of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral concerns. As a mental health counselor, you will be tasked with understanding the unique backgrounds and needs of each patient, ensuring that care is culturally competent and respectful of individual differences.

• A valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a licensed Psychologist in California.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; a Master’s or doctoral degree is preferred.
• Proven understanding of mental health issues particularly common in remote patient populations, including experience with telehealth modalities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to build trusting relationships with patients in a virtual format.
• Experience with evidence-based practices and familiarity with various therapeutic approaches appropriate for an online counseling environment.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and remain adaptable in a fast-paced remote work setting.

• Experience providing mental health services in a telehealth or remote setting is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated involvement in mental health outreach programs or community wellness initiatives.
• Familiarity with modern therapeutic tools and software used in virtual counseling settings.
