Job description

The Applications Engineer serves as a technical authority on Cattron products and solutions, providing expertise in product application, system design, and industry standards. This role is responsible for designing and configuring radio remote control systems that meet customer requirements while ensuring compliance with technical specifications and operational objectives.

The Applications Engineer works closely with customers, sales, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and service teams throughout the design, integration, and implementation process. Responsibilities include creating custom engineering designs, developing software configurations, generating bills of materials, and providing technical support during installation and commissioning activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Design

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Design radio remote control systems based on customer requirements and project specifications.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop detailed electrical schematics and system documentation using AutoCAD Electrical for both Operator Control Units (OCU) and Machine Control Units (MCU).

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Create and maintain comprehensive engineering drawings and technical documentation for each customer order.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop and configure custom software solutions using proprietary Cattron programming tools. PLC programming experience is preferred.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Review and validate automated bills of materials generated through AutoCAD Electrical to ensure accuracy and completeness.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Create and maintain order-specific bills of materials and labor estimates within the company ERP system.

Technical Support & Collaboration

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provide technical expertise and support across assigned product lines to internal departments, including sourcing, manufacturing, quality assurance, inspection, and testing.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist production and testing teams in the successful build, verification, and validation of products.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues.

Customer Engagement
