Job description

Since 2003, Entrata has evolved from a visionary, student-led startup into a global leader in AI-driven property management technology. Today, we power the industry's most essential operating system, serving owners and residents worldwide through a comprehensive suite of intelligent leasing, payment, and communication tools powered by cutting-edge AI. With a proven track record of sustained growth and a global team of more than 2,200 employees, we offer the rare combination of established stability and high-velocity innovation. Recognized by the Silicon Slopes Hall of Fame and the Utah Business Fast 50, Entrata fosters a culture of radical transparency and entrepreneurial energy. At Entrata, we create an environment where different perspectives are valued and respected. Those perspectives challenge assumptions, strengthen our decisions, and raise the bar as we reshape the global living experience through AI-powered solutions.

As an AI Engineer, you'll lead the design and development of agentic AI systems that automate and streamline internal operations across the company. You'll architect robust AI agents, workflow orchestrations, and decisioning systems that reduce manual work and materially improve efficiency for internal teams. You'll own end-to-end implementation, from prototyping to production, while setting technical standards, guiding mid-level engineers, and ensuring every solution delivers measurable gains in speed, accuracy, and operational scale.

This is an opportunity to combine software engineering expertise, AI integration, and business process innovation to make a direct impact on operational efficiency across Entrata.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to analyze and re-engineer workflows, identifying high-value automation opportunities.
  • Deliver technical leadership on projects, ensuring best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
  • Integrate AI/ML APIs and services to enable intelligent decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability across automation pipelines.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging AI/automation technologies to inform the team's roadmap.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of delivering production-grade solutions
  • Strong proficiency in Python and at least one core programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, or related framework), with experience building agentic tools and systems
  • Experience building and deploying AI-powered automation or agentic systems (e.g., workflows, tool-using agents, automation pipelines)
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
  • Experience with any RDBMS
  • Experience with API development and integrations
  • Experience with Generative AI tools
  • Demonstrated experience with system design, architecture, and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts, prompt engineering, and large language models (LLMs)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement scalable automation systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration and automation tools (e.g., Zapier, n8n, Apache Airflow, or RPA frameworks).
  • Advanced knowledge of AI/ML APIs and integration best practices.
