Job Title: Estimator III

As an Estimator III, you'll play a key role in helping project teams plan, price, and deliver successful work across power generation and heavy industrial market sectors and contract delivery methods. This role supports a OneBoldt approach by developing reliable estimates, coordinating internal and external estimating resources, and helping teams make informed decisions that support project success and planned profitability.
In this role, you'll lead and support detailed and conceptual estimating efforts, review drawings and specifications, prepare bid documents, participate in estimate presentations, manage bid solicitation, evaluate proposals, and collaborate with project teams, trade partners, owners, and design partners. You'll also contribute to target value design, risk and opportunity reviews, cost modeling, and the transition of estimate information to project teams-bringing both technical estimating expertise and a relationship-focused mindset to the work.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $108,000 - $143,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered.
  • Five to eight years of estimating experience, estimating large power generation or heavy industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating processes, including labor, material, equipment, subcontracting, general conditions, requirements, insurance, fees, permits, contingencies, and scope development.
  • Experience preparing detailed and conceptual estimates, including cost models and estimate deliverables.
  • Experience with negotiated GMP and lump sum/hard bid project delivery methods.
  • Understanding of MasterFormat and Uniformat construction coding.
  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, database-based estimating software, takeoff software, and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Ability to collaborate with project managers, financial managers, design partners, trade partners, and internal estimating resources.
  • Strong communication, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to support complex estimating efforts and multiple stakeholders.

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit and/or Vico.
  • Experience using Building Catalyst, Modelogix, OnCenter, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar estimating and cost modeling tools.
  • Experience mentoring or providing direction to less experienced estimators.
  • Exposure to self-perform estimating across trades such as concrete, masonry, steel, carpentry, drywall, or millwright work.
