ServiceNow ITAM Consultant 100% Remote Secret Clearance Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Technical Consultant for HAM, SAM, CMDB, and Discovery, responsible for designing, configuring, and developing ServiceNow solutions that meet business and technical requirements. This role combines advanced ServiceNow technical knowledge with strategic creative thinking to design and implement specialized solutions, blending out-of-the-box features with custom-engineered approaches to meet the demands of unconventional customer environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building, customizing, and integrating ServiceNow applications across multiple modules. The candidate will need the ability to translate business and technical requirements to effective solutions. To succeed in this role, the candidate will need a strong history with HAM, SAM, Discovery, and preferably is also a ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD). Required Qualifications: • Active DoD Secret clearance (at minimum) • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • 3–5+ years of ServiceNow development or technical consulting experience • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into functional, scalable designs • Proven experience delivering at least one full-cycle ServiceNow implementation. • Direct experience implementing Discovery and managing Midservers. • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Glide API, HTML/CSS, and ServiceNow platform architecture. • Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Service Portal development. • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations and API-based data exchange. • Familiarity with Agile delivery (Scrum or SAFe). • Strong understanding of ITIL and enterprise service management practices. • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. • Strong communication and client-facing presentation abilities. Required Certifications: • Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware Asset Management • Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management Nice-to-have certifications: • Certified Implementation Specialist – Data Foundations (CMDB/CSDM) OR CMDB Health and Configure the CMDB micro-certifications (CIS Preferred) • Certified Implementation Specialist -- Discovery • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator • CompTIA Security+ SE (or better or equivalent) • DoD Active Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications: • ITIL v3 or v4 Certification • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) • Additional ServiceNow certifications in areas such as other ITOM, SecOps, GRC, or ITSM Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, forms, UI policies, business rules, and integrations. • Develop and configure ServiceNow modules such as HAM, SAM, CMDB/CSDM, or custom scoped applications. • Provide strategic, authoritative guidance to the client on HAM and SAM best practices • Implement, maintain, and customize Discovery within one or more restricted environments. • Create and maintain client scripts, UI actions, script includes, scheduled jobs, and Flow Designer automations. • Develop and maintain visualizations using dashboards, workspaces, and reports to enable users to enhance efficiency in their day-to-day operations. • Ensure that solutions follow ServiceNow best practices, maintainability, and performance standards. • Work with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications. • Lead technical workshops to review design, architecture, and configuration approaches. • Support end-to-end project delivery including sprint planning, testing, and deployment. • Provide technical guidance to junior developers or project teams. • Develop and support integrations using REST, SOAP, APIs, and IntegrationHub. • Work with enterprise systems (e.g., Azure AD, HR, ERP, monitoring tools) to ensure secure data exchange. • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize system performance. • Participate in peer code reviews and maintain version control standards (e.g., Git, ServiceNow Studio). • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and audit requirements. • Contribute to documentation of technical specifications, release notes, and solution designs. • Provide client training for HAM and SAM functionality #M1 #LI-VH1 Ref: #856-Baltimore-S1
