Job description

Full Stack Developer (GenAI / LLM Focus) This is a non‑contracting, direct‑hire position that is fully remote; however, candidates must reside in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to support mission‑critical government initiatives by designing, building, and deploying modern, AI‑enabled software solutions. This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who thrives at the intersection of full stack development, GenAI/LLMs, and customer‑facing solutioning. In this position, you will be responsible for understanding complex government problems, developing a technical solution, and clearly explaining both the strategy and implementation approach to government stakeholders. You will rapidly translate ideas into production‑ready software while working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure solutions align with real‑world operational needs.
This role requires strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently drive solutions from concept through deployment. Key Responsibilities Partner directly with government customers to analyze business and mission challenges, propose technical solutions, and define a clear implementation strategy.
Design, build, and deploy full stack applications using Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL.
Develop and integrate LLM‑ and GenAI‑powered capabilities to solve real operational problems.
Rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver production‑quality features based on customer feedback.
Integrate modern software solutions into existing government systems and workflows.
Clearly explain architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and solution strategies to both technical and non‑technical government stakeholders. Support initial deployment, configuration, and stabilization of delivered solutions.
Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and leadership teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. Document requirements, technical designs, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full application stack. Minimum Qualifications Active Secret security clearance. Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
Hands‑on experience with TypeScript and JavaScript in full stack applications.
Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL). Demonstrated experience working with LLMs, GenAI, NLP, or AI‑driven systems to solve real‑world problems. Full stack development experience, including modern web application frameworks.
Experience building and consuming APIs and integrating software with existing systems.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in cloud environments, preferably within government or regulated settings.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and secure development practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present solutions and strategies to government clients.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver in fast‑paced environments. Willingness to support occasional short‑term travel, as needed. Preferred Qualifications Top Secret clearance.
Experience working directly with federal government customers.
Ability to operate effectively in small, agile engineering teams.
Experience translating ambiguous problem statements into concrete technical solutions.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD automation.
Experience with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
Background in Unix/Linux environments.
Knowledge of government cybersecurity requirements and compliance considerations.
Prior experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, or solution guidance.
High energy, strong ownership mindset, and comfort engaging with senior government stakeholders.
