In this remote position, you will engage with students, parents, and educators through a combination of virtual meetings and telehealth technology, creating a flexible yet impactful work environment. As a remote social worker, you will navigate unique challenges and opportunities associated with virtual mental health service delivery, leveraging technology to reach students effectively.

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate emotional well-being, social difficulties, and mental health issues in students, tailoring interventions to individual needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, remotely to address a range of mental health disorders.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that integrate mental health services within the school environment.
• Educate students and families on mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management, promoting understanding and facilitating informed decision-making.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using various evidence-based modalities, focusing on strategies that enhance coping skills and emotional resilience.
• Act as a patient advocate, assisting families in navigating the mental health system and connecting them to community resources and support services.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups, psychoeducation sessions, and discharge planning meetings in collaboration with school staff.

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents, addressing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and adjustment difficulties. You will engage with students from diverse backgrounds, creating inclusive and culturally sensitive treatment plans that align with their unique experiences and perspectives.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health disorders, treatment approaches, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and other digital tools for therapy delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Previous experience providing mental health services in a school setting.
• Familiarity with special education laws and resources available for students with mental health needs.
• Experience conducting training or workshops for teachers and staff on mental health awareness.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral services for families.
