This role operates entirely in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while ensuring the delivery of quality mental health care via telehealth platforms. Our team utilizes secure electronic health record systems, enabling effective documentation and communication within the practice. The virtual nature of this position requires counselors to possess adept technological skills to facilitate seamless interactions with clients.

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients to assess their mental, behavioral, and emotional health, ensuring comprehensive documentation from the initial consultation through to treatment conclusion.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of clients, including those involving individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based best practices that promote positive client outcomes.
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients receiving inpatient care, ensuring continuity and coordination of treatment.
• Identify, address, and prevent behaviors that may hinder patient recovery, working proactively to create supportive strategies for both clients and their family members.
• Manage referrals and navigate community resources to enhance client support systems.

This role focuses on serving a diverse client population experiencing various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction disorders. The successful candidate will work with clients across different age groups and backgrounds, requiring sensitivity and adaptability to cater to their unique experiences and therapeutic needs.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• Pass scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven experience working in a mental health counseling capacity, demonstrating competency in applying therapeutic interventions.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, ideally with familiarity in AVATAR, to ensure meticulous documentation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of physical and emotional health conditions, alongside an understanding of addiction disorders.

• Experience collaborating with other mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, to develop cohesive treatment plans.
• Understanding of best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and a commitment to staying informed about ongoing developments in the field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills that enhance interaction with clients and teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients, showcasing exceptional interpersonal skills and empathy.
