What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote signage sales, and how can they be overcome?

Remote Signage Sales professionals often encounter challenges such as building trust with clients without in-person meetings and effectively demonstrating the value of digital signage solutions virtually. To overcome these, it's important to leverage strong communication skills, utilize virtual presentation tools, and maintain a proactive follow-up strategy. Collaborating closely with technical and design teams can also help address client concerns quickly and deliver tailored solutions. Staying organized and setting clear targets are key to managing a remote sales pipeline successfully.

What is remote signage sales?

A Remote Signage Sales job involves selling signage products and solutions—such as digital signs, billboards, or display systems—to businesses or organizations while working from a remote location. Professionals in this role connect with clients via phone, email, or virtual meetings to understand their advertising and branding needs and recommend suitable signage options. They manage client relationships, negotiate contracts, and may coordinate with installation teams, all without needing to work from a physical office. This position requires strong communication and sales skills, as well as familiarity with digital marketing and signage technologies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote signage sales?

To thrive as a Remote Signage Sales professional, you need strong sales acumen, knowledge of signage products, and experience in B2B sales, often supported by a background in marketing or business. Familiarity with CRM software, virtual meeting platforms, and digital marketing tools is typically required. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and relationship-building skills help you engage prospects and manage accounts remotely. These skills and qualities are crucial for effectively generating leads, closing deals, and maintaining client satisfaction in a competitive, remote sales environment.

Job description

About the role:

We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our Market Strategy team and help shape how we position and bring our platform to market. In this strategic, cross-functional role, you'll partner closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive differentiated messaging, lead go-to-market initiatives, and support growth across the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define the Story: Turn our approach to fraud and payments into simple, powerful messaging that resonates across the full buyer journey and different personas.
  • Grow the Business: Define go-to-market strategies and partner with marketing, sales, and success teams to improve win rates.
  • Lead Product Launches: Collaborate with Product Management and other teams to define launch plans, build our strategy, ensure clear communication, and reinforce Forter as the market innovator.
  • Be a Partner to Field: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Consulting to support live deals and gather real-world feedback. You will translate field insights into actionable recommendations that help shape our product roadmap.
  • Run the Win/Loss Program: Own the analysis of why we win or lose deals. You will partner with our win/loss vendor to interview prospects and share those lessons across the company to improve our win rate.
  • Know the Market: Become the expert on our competitors and customers, translating market trends into actionable insights that keep us ahead.

What you'll need:

  • Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates based on the East Coast. Occasional travel required for team offsites and industry conferences (2-3x per year)
  • Proven Track Record: 4+ years of experience in product marketing within B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or analytics - experience targeting retail and commerce organizations is a plus. You have a knack for managing multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Storytelling Chops: You have deep empathy for customers and are able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience- both technical and non-technical.
  • AI Prowess: You know how to leverage AI tools to drive efficiency and scale your impact without sacrificing quality, and you bring this mindset to everything you do.
  • Communication Skills: A proven ability to build strong relationships across a diverse set of global stakeholders.
  • Growth Mindset: A self-starter who can build programs from scratch, with a positive attitude and a willingness to get the job done.
  • Curiosity: You are genuinely interested in customers and technology - and want to learn more about both. You learn the details of how our products work, the daily challenges customers have, and dive deep to become an expert.

About us:

Commerce is evolving faster than the systems built to support it. Agentic AI is redrawing how people buy. Customer expectations have a new ceiling. And bad actors are evolving alongside every advancement.

Forter was built to meet this moment - and stay ahead of it.

We are a human-first, AI-built company. Our technology analyzes patterns across a network of over 2 billion shoppers, delivering identity intelligence across the entire commerce journey - from sign-up to checkout to returns - that protects revenue and unlocks great customer experiences simultaneously. With Forter, businesses know who to trust, whether it's humans or the agents shopping for them. The result: zero friction for the customers who matter. No revenue left behind.

The world's most trusted brands - Nordstrom, Instacart, Priceline, Adobe, ASOS, and eBay among them - rely on Forter to get this right. Since 2013, we've raised $525M from investors including Tiger Global, Bessemer, Sequoia Capital, and Salesforce Ventures, and today we power commerce decisions for nearly 1 million businesses globally. We're more than fraud, payments and orchestration - we make trust a competitive advantage.

Trust is backed by data -  Forter is a recipient of over 10 workplace and innovation awards, including:

  • Great Place to Work Certification (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025)
  • Fortune's Best Workplaces in NYC (2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025)
  • Forbes Cloud 100 (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025)
  • Anti-Fraud Solution of the Year at the Payments Awards (2024)

Life as a Forterian:

Forterians are, genuinely, some of the best people you'll work with. Smart, curious, and deeply good humans who care about the work and each other. That's not an accident - it's something we've been intentional about since day one, and it's the thing people mention most when they talk about why they stay. When you're surrounded by people like this, doing work that actually matters, it changes what a job can feel like.

Forter was built on a simple but powerful conviction: when AI does its job, humans can do theirs better. That philosophy shapes our products and shapes how we work. AI is core to our workflows - not as a shortcut, but as a force multiplier that gives Forterians the space to focus their energy where human judgment is irreplaceable.

We're a global team of 500+ people, with regional headquarters in New York, Tel Aviv, London, and Singapore, and employee presence across the US, Canada, Germany, France, Japan, China, and Australia. Our teams are cross-functional by design, and the work you do here is visible, consequential, and connected to the outcomes that matter.

You'll have real ownership here and proximity to decisions. And we back that with investment in your growth - RSU offerings, L&D programs built around AI tools, and a culture of recognition rooted in our 4.5 day weeks (aka Forter's Appreciation Fridays and Sundays). From team outings to local cultural celebrations, we mark the moments that matter - wherever you are in the world. We don't want Forter to be just another job. We want it to be the place you build.

If you're ready to work on a problem that sits at the intersection of AI, commerce, and human trust, this is it.

Forter is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that will consider all qualified applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, gender identity or expression, national origin, genetics, age, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

Team members based near our key hubs are expected to work from the office at least three days per week. We believe that regular face-to-face collaboration fuels professional development, strengthens our culture, and builds the relationships that help teams thrive.
