• Establish and maintain a positive, trusting rapport with individual clients and families, fostering a safe environment for therapeutic exploration.
• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health disorders, employing the techniques of Engagement, Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation in your practice.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs, regularly reviewing and adjusting as necessary based on progress assessments.
• Conduct ongoing evaluations to track patient progress, identifying obstacles to treatment and adapting strategies to overcome them.
• Lead therapeutic sessions for individuals and groups, utilizing diverse methodologies to address varying issues effectively.
• Referral of clients to additional specialists or services is essential when their treatment needs extend beyond your expertise.
• Document all client interactions and treatment plans promptly and accurately in accordance with organizational policies and electronic health record systems.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, you will work with a varied clientele, including adolescents, adults, and couples experiencing challenges such as relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. The clinic serves a community rich in diversity, where practitioners are encouraged to use culturally sensitive approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is mandatory; candidates must be in good standing.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as is proficiency in documenting client assessments and treatment plans.

• Experience providing therapy to both individuals and couples is highly valued, particularly in a remote setting.
• Prior work experience with children and families within a community health environment is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to complete assessments, notes, and plans promptly to comply with regulatory standards.
