Chat and Change Counseling, LLC is a telehealth-based outpatient counseling service based in Chandler, Arizona. In this role, you will:

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s trauma history and tailor treatment approaches effectively.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and build resilience among clients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to foster a safe environment for patients to process their trauma, build coping strategies, and promote healing.
• Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients facing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance is available when needed.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources that facilitate recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training programs focusing on trauma-informed care.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the treatment provided to clients.

You will primarily work with individuals who have been impacted by various forms of trauma. Clients may present with conditions such as PTSD, complex trauma, and other related disorders requiring specialized intervention. A compassionate and understanding approach is essential, as many clients are navigating difficult emotions and experiences. Your role will involve empowering them to embark on their healing journey, fostering resilience, and providing a pathway to recovery.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in Arizona as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on trauma treatment and recovery.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment strategies.
• Demonstrated experience with trauma-focused therapeutic modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental attitude.
• The ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.

While a minimum of two years post-licensure experience is required, candidates with prior exposure to evidence-based treatments for trauma and familiarity with remote counseling practices will be preferred. Additional training in advanced trauma therapy techniques will also be considered an asset.
