The New Man Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to become an integral part of our innovative community health clinic. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of clients to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific requirements.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, ensuring personalized support for diverse client backgrounds.
• Support individuals struggling with trauma-related issues such as PTSD through targeted therapy sessions that promote resilience and recovery.
• Maintain meticulous, up-to-date medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards to ensure continuity of care.
• Implement behavior management strategies that enable clients to develop effective coping mechanisms and emotional regulation skills.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives aimed at enhancing treatment methodologies and improving patient outcomes.
• Effectively utilize telehealth technologies for remote counseling, ensuring all clients have essential access to mental health resources.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance the efficacy of client care through shared insights and collective efforts.

This position primarily focuses on serving a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. The counselor will engage with individuals exhibiting symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological disorders. A commitment to understanding the unique needs of each client, particularly those impacted by historical trauma, is crucial in delivering successful interventions and patient engagement.

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current, active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.
• Strong foundational knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness techniques.
• Proficient assessment skills to accurately evaluate and address the mental health needs of clients.
• Familiarity with telehealth services and technology is highly desirable, ensuring efficient delivery of remote counseling.
• A background in clinical research is advantageous, contributing to the enhancement of therapeutic methods and overall care practices.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience working with trauma survivors, children, and adolescents.
• Experience with digital health tools and teletherapy platforms to support remote service delivery during the pandemic and beyond.

• Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
