Job Title: WebMethods Integration Developer
Location: 100% Remote
Type: Contract | 7 Months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced WebMethods Integration Developer to support enterprise integration initiatives and capital projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing APIs, integrations, and middleware solutions that enable seamless connectivity between enterprise systems while ensuring security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RESTful and SOAP-based APIs to integrate enterprise platforms and business applications.

  • Develop secure data exchange solutions using JSON, XML, and other industry-standard formats.

  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.

  • Create and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger standards.

  • Design, develop, and support integrations between enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.

  • Develop connectors and middleware solutions to support interoperability requirements.

  • Implement event-driven integrations, asynchronous processing, and webhook capabilities where applicable.

  • Build robust error handling, logging, monitoring, and transaction management capabilities.

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and secure development practices.

  • Implement encryption, API gateway security, audit trails, and transaction logging.

  • Design highly available, scalable, and resilient integration solutions.

  • Establish performance benchmarks and optimize solution performance.

  • Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

  • Support automated regression testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing and implementing solutions on the webMethods Integration Platform.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with webMethods.IO (webMethods Cloud Integration - IC).

  • Proven experience developing SAP RFC (Remote Function Call) integrations.

  • Demonstrated experience developing custom integration services using Java.

  • Strong experience with:

    • webMethods Integration Server

    • Universal Messaging

    • API Gateway

    • webMethods Test Suite

    • EDI/TN (Trading Networks)

    • Java Service Development

    • webMethods.IO

  • Experience designing and securing RESTful and SOAP APIs.

  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization protocols.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration architecture and middleware technologies.

  • Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining integration solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with webMethods Test Suite and Trading Networks (EDI/TN).

  • Software AG Certified webMethods Developer or similar integration certifications.

  • MuleSoft, AWS, Microsoft Azure Integration, PMP, or related certifications.

  • Experience supporting public sector, utilities, or energy industry initiatives.

  • Knowledge of secure software development and cybersecurity best practices.

  • Experience with identity and access management solutions.

  • Experience designing highly available and scalable enterprise integrations.
