Job Description

Eagle Hill is seeking candidates to fill current and potential data analytics roles for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client projects. These projects will provide analytical, strategic, and operational support to enable CBP offices to use data more effectively, modernize operations, improve business processes, and strengthen mission delivery. Applicants must be willing and able to work on client sites within the Washington, DC metro area on a daily basis or as required by the client.

Anticipated project work may include data analytics and visualization, performance measurement, process improvement, business intelligence, program and project management, and other Eagle Hill service offerings.

At Eagle Hill, Senior Associates contribute to the development of solutions for our clients and take ownership of specific tasks in support of these efforts. They are expected to develop firsthand knowledge of clients and their business problems and contribute to team discussions, analysis, and solutions that help deliver impact for the clients. Senior Associates may also play an active role in broader account or Eagle Hill initiatives and business development activities. Specific responsibilities will vary based on project role, but may include:

  • Using Power BI or similar tools to visualize data for executive-level audiences and decision-making
  • Enabling the integration and analysis of data from multiple sources 
  • Developing metrics and KPIs for strategic initiatives and developing related reports 
  • Collecting and documenting current and future-state client processes 
  • Supporting the development of other client solutions and the creation of related strategies, approaches, and implementation plans
  • Developing and conducting stakeholder interviews
  • Developing high quality communications, such as presentations, newsletters, and memos
  • Drafting documentation for client and internal work products
  • Supporting other data gathering and analysis to identify gaps and recommendations
  • Facilitating the client’s task management processes

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years performing project-based work with demonstrated ownership of workstreams and/or deliverables in support of client solutions
  • Minimum of two years of experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own and advance workstreams or major deliverables by exercising sound judgment, managing priorities, anticipating risks, and contributing to practical, solution-oriented outcomes
  • Strong relationship-building skills with demonstrated success developing trust, credibility, and rapport with clients or other stakeholders through professionalism, follow-through, and awareness of stakeholder needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to tailor communications to different audiences, exercise discretion, and communicate with confidence and professionalism in client-facing environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing time and meeting deadlines across multiple and competing priorities, including the ability to stay organized, adjust to changing needs, and keep work moving without sacrificing quality
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with a team, including knowing when to move work forward independently, when to seek input, and when to escalate issues appropriately
  • Proven ability to take initiative on projects
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Excel and PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to effectively use virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
  • Technical aptitude; ability to quickly learn new technology platforms
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to successfully obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation (BI), as well as any other background investigations required to perform client work

Desired

  • Active CBP BI or have held a CBP BI within the last two years
  • Strategic communications experience
  • Prior management consulting experience for Federal clients, focused on delivering solutions in Eagle Hill’s service lines (Organizational Performance, Talent, Change Management, Business Intelligence, and/or Technology Enablement)

Compensation: A reasonable expectation for a starting salary range is: $81-$95K. This range is based on the Washington, DC Metro area and varies based on geographic residence. Specific salary range will be based on experience, location, and the level at which an applicant is hired.
