Are you a Senior Data Engineer who thrives at the intersection of data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and API platforms? Trissential is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our client in supporting a largescale Apigee Hybrid and multicloud modernization initiative.

This is a highimpact role where your work directly supports enterprise data reliability, API performance, and secure crosscloud operations in a complex, regulated environment. Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain robust ETL / ELT data pipelines using best practices in data management and governance
  • Analyze and process complex, highvolume data sources in fastpaced environments
  • Perform data modeling against large datasets for performance and scalability
  • Design and deploy Apigee Hybrid runtimes across GCP, Azure (AKS), and onprem Kubernetes environments
  • Provision and manage Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and multicloud connectivity
  • Develop and maintain Terraformbased infrastructure as code
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and SIEM / ZeroTrust security controls
  • Identify and implement process automation to eliminate manual tasks and improve reliability
  • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation
  • Support production readiness, golive milestones, and knowledge transfer activities
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development
  • 5+ years of handson SQL programming
  • 3+ years building and maintaining automated data pipelines (batch and/or streaming)
  • 3+ years of Kubernetes experience (AKS required; GKE or onprem preferred)
  • Strong experience in multicloud environments (Azure & GCP)
  • Handson experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Apigee Hybrid architecture
  • Understanding of edge platforms (Akamai preferred)
  • Experience with observability, logging, and SIEM integrations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
  • Cloud or Kubernetes certifications
  • Apigee Hybrid or Akamai (including Noname) experience
  • GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux

Education & Certifications You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldOR
  • Equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of relevant professional experience
