Job description

MegazoneCloud is looking for a passionate Senior Solutions Architect - Security (Presales) who contributes to building our business with customers. The Senior Solutions Architect - Security (Presales) serves as a strategic technical advisor to the sales team and prospective clients. This role is responsible for designing cloud-based solutions that address customer needs, supporting the sales cycle, and leading short-term consulting engagements to clarify client requirements and expectations. The architect must demonstrate exceptional leadership during the Presales stage, guiding both internal teams and clients toward successful solution alignment. Strong presentation skills and industry-specific knowledge are essential to effectively communicate and tailor solutions to client contexts.
MegazoneCloud's service and product offerings to assigned customer territories. You will manage numerous customer accounts concurrently and strategically to deliver technical solutions in collaboration with internal and external technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Presales Leadership & Customer Engagement
    • Lead the technical strategy and execution during the Presales phase.
    • Drive alignment between client needs, sales goals, and technical feasibility.
    • Lead the technical strategy and communication for security solutions.
    • Conduct discovery sessions and technical workshops with prospects.
    • Lead short-term consulting/PoC projects to assess/prove, and clarify client requirements, expectations, and constraints.
    • Contribute to technical sections of proposals, RFPs, and statements of work.
    • Estimate resources, costs, and timelines for proposed solutions.
  • Solution Leadership
    • Design cloud-native and/or hybrid architectures using cloud platforms, such as AWS (Must Have), Azure, or GCP.
    • Develop detailed solution designs, including infrastructure, security, and integration components.
    • Develop detailed solution designs for the security enhancement and compliance fulfillment.
    • Deliver compelling presentations and solution demonstrations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Market & Technology Awareness
    • Stay updated on cloud trends, security technology trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape.
    • Recommend innovative solutions that align with customer goals and company strategy.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with delivery teams and specialty architects to ensure the right solutions are developed, a smooth handover, and implementation.
    • Provide ongoing technical support during the sales cycle.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or any equivalent
  • 10+ years of professional work experience related to Pre-sales, Technology Consulting, or Tech Sales positions in the Cloud Computing area.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud computing, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS in professional work experience.
  • Within the experience 5+ years of experience in Security (Solutions Architect, Consultant, Delivery, etc.).
  • Strong experience with cloud-based architectures, including infrastructure, containerization, microservices, and serverless computing.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance/regulatory frameworks like PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA, NIST, UL, and/or GAN.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Professional level of Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional)
  • Proven experience in leading short-term consulting engagements.
  • Ability to quickly assess client environments and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to cope under pressure and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Proven experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions architect role, preferably in the technology or cloud computing industry.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Common industry security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, or AWS Security Specialty
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding established business goals.
  • Passion for working in a fast-paced, changing, but highly collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in Project/Program management.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or other equivalents.
  • Familiarity with various programming languages and scripting (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Key ISV solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific challenges and regulatory environments in sectors such as Automotive, Healthcare, Finance, Retail, or Manufacturing.
