Role: AWS Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Morrisville, NC Hybrid work

Full-time role.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Security Engineer Include:

  • Ensure secure AWS configuration by maintaining environments aligned with best practices, STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and NIST 800-53 controls
  • Identify and remediate security gaps through continuous monitoring, documentation of findings, and creation of remediation tickets
  • Engage stakeholders by leading discussions on configurations, vulnerabilities, and recommended actions
  • Collaborate across teams including DevOps, IT, and Compliance to support secure cloud operations
  • Automate and document security processes using cloud-native tools and scripting while maintaining clear security documentation

Qualifications for the Cloud Security Engineer Include:

  • 2+ years of professional cloud security engineer experience
  • Ability to work in the U.S.
  • Experience with AWS, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, security Hub, and WAF
  • Hands on knowledge with SIEM tools
  • Proficiency in scripting and automations

Preferred AWS certified security-Specialty, CISSP certificate
