Staff Platform Engineer – Platform Development
Location: Denver, CO preferred (Hybrid) | Also open to San Antonio, TX, Brooklyn, NY, or Remote (US-based)
Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and eligible for Secret Clearance

We are hiring a Staff Platform Engineer to help lead the strategy, architecture, and development of a mission-critical cloud platform supporting operational intelligence and critical infrastructure systems. This role will focus heavily on AWS architecture, platform reliability, infrastructure automation, and scalable cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Own the technical direction and delivery of core platform initiatives
• Design and implement scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and networking solutions
• Lead infrastructure-as-code efforts and cloud automation initiatives
• Improve platform reliability, observability, security, and deployment workflows
• Partner with Product, Operations, and Engineering leadership on roadmap execution
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices across the platform organization

Required Experience:
• 7-15 years building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud systems
• Deep expertise with AWS services and cloud architecture best practices
• Strong experience with AWS networking including VPCs, subnets, Route53, Transit Gateways, and network firewalls
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong development experience with Python and/or Node.js
• Experience replatforming or migrating services within AWS environments
• Proven ability to lead large-scale cross-functional technical initiatives

Preferred Experience:
• AWS professional certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
• Experience with Windows domain environments
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk or Datadog
• Experience within operational intelligence, industrial technology, or DoD/Air Force environments
