Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough ongoing assessments to tailor mental health services to the needs of each client, ensuring a personalized approach to counseling.
• Facilitate effective communication among various stakeholders: supervisors, direct care staff, family members, and collateral contacts, to monitor and report on individual client progress.
• Create and share a structured schedule of sessions, home visits, and observational appointments with supervisors to ensure accountability and transparency in your work.
• Coordinate and execute home visits, integrating in-home observations, chart reviews, and staff interviews to gather crucial information for comprehensive client care.
• Implement and monitor the efficacy of mental health program plans, adapting to client needs and making necessary adjustments based on ongoing evaluations.
• Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to discuss strategies and developments critical to client success.
• Document monthly and quarterly progress accurately, providing essential information to track client outcomes and service effectiveness.
• Lead training initiatives to ensure that staff members are competent in program implementation and documentation practices.
• Provide continuous support to clients through follow-up interviews and home visits, demonstrating commitment to their long-term wellness.
• Maintain meticulous records, ensuring information is readily accessible to all relevant parties involved in client care.
• Act as a liaison with the broader community to promote mental health awareness and facilitate collaborative support for program development goals.
• Contribute to the creation of training materials and standard operating procedures, enhancing the overall quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse patient population, including both adults and youth, addressing various mental health issues such as family dynamics, trauma, substance misuse, and overall wellness. Your expertise in family therapy, couples therapy, and other specialized areas will be instrumental in delivering tailored support to clients facing complex challenges.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• A valid and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor in Arizona must be held.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a counseling role, preferably in a clinical environment, is essential.
• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse, or trauma care is strongly preferred.
• A comprehensive understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
