This full-time social work position is remote, but it interfaces regularly with school administrators, educators, and students. Flexibility is essential, as your schedule may include some evening and weekend hours to accommodate the needs of your clients effectively. You will have the resources to work from home, yet maintain strong connections within the educational community you serve.

• Utilize your clinical expertise to conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students facing mental health challenges.
• Employ evidence-based behavioral therapies tailored to the unique needs of each student, including solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing.
• Coordinate and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists and primary care physicians, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Monitor therapeutic progress through regular check-ins, documenting changes in behavior and attitudes and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Assist with medication management in alignment with prescribers, focusing on adherence to treatment regimens and monitoring potential side effects.
• Maintain accurate records and case documentation to support ongoing evaluation and compliance with relevant health regulations.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related concerns. Your role will be integral in providing support not only to students but also in empowering their families through education and resources.

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience working as an independently licensed therapist.

• Experience in school-based mental health settings or working with children and families in a therapeutic capacity.
• Knowledge of local resources and community services available for youth and families.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices related to child and adolescent mental health.
