GENERAL SUMMARY:

Compile research on assigned used aircraft with the objective of becoming an expert on the wholesale/retail values of those aircraft, thus enabling the company to purchase aircraft for resale and profit. Cultivate relationships within the assigned market to include owners, pilots and industry experts. Gather in-depth serial number specific information on target aircraft. Identify technical product opportunities that may enhance our ability to increase profits on target aircraft. Assist the sales team in all aspects of the aircraft acquisition process. This position offers a competitive annual base salary plus a heavily weighted commission plan based on performance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a system for ongoing contact with owners, dealers, and other researchers both domestically and internationally to gain market knowledge.

  • Work with the Sales team to value aircraft for customers, providing accurate and real-time market data and projections.

  • Keep a daily record of sales activity on assigned aircraft, charting market trends to accurately forecast future values.

  • Place wholesale/retail values on serial number specific aircraft and make recommendations to the VP of Aircraft Acquisitions.

  • Use developed systems and research to identify candidate aircraft to make offers on and spot trends in the marketplace.

  • Accurately evaluate trade-in and prospective purchase aircraft using recent market research.

  • Work with the Technical Services Department to ensure pre-purchase inspections are as accurate and inclusive as possible.

  • Analyze researched data and prepare professional reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Interpret and analyze professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

  • Coordinate with multiple departments to report technical findings and escalate issues with clarity and accuracy.

Top candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation or Business Administration preferred.

  • Private Pilot or A&P Mechanic License preferred.

  • Computer proficiency with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Exceptional telephone skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals and technical procedures.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities, and achieve personal goals based on company objectives.

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Other requirements include:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, and lift objects up to 10 pounds regularly.

  • Ability to occasionally travel for work assignments.
