Remote Scp Foundation information

What is a remote SCP Foundation?

A Remote SCP Foundation job involves working for the fictional SCP Foundation universe, often in the form of writing, editing, or illustrating content for the collaborative online project. These roles are typically volunteer-based and can include creating SCP entries, tales, or artwork that expand the SCP mythos. As a remote contributor, you collaborate with a global community, participating in discussions, reviewing others' work, and adhering to the site's guidelines. While not a traditional paid position, it offers a creative outlet and an opportunity to build writing or artistic skills.

What key skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote SCP Foundation professional, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote IT Support Specialist, you need solid troubleshooting abilities, knowledge of operating systems, and typically a background in information technology or related certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional. Familiarity with remote desktop tools, ticketing systems, and cybersecurity best practices is often required. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills help you effectively guide users and resolve technical issues remotely. These qualifications are crucial for delivering efficient technical support, maintaining system reliability, and ensuring user satisfaction from a distance.

What are some common challenges faced by remote SCP Foundation professionals?

Remote cybersecurity professionals in large organizations often face challenges such as maintaining secure communication channels, managing access controls across distributed teams, and staying updated with evolving threats while not onsite. They must also collaborate effectively with both IT and non-IT staff, often across different time zones, which can complicate incident response and daily coordination. To succeed, professionals should be proactive in communication, leverage collaborative security tools, and stay disciplined with self-directed learning and task management.

Job description

Join BioHackHaus as Our Head of People & Operations

Are you ready to build something extraordinary from the ground up? BioHackHaus, an innovative biohacking company breaking into multiple markets, is looking for a driven and visionary Head of People & Operations to help us scale from a small founding team into a thriving organization. If you thrive in ambiguity, love creating systems from scratch, and have a passion for people and operations, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

About the Role

As our first Head of People & Operations, you'll be a key architect of our company's growth. This is not a role where you'll inherit existing playbooks—you'll be writing them. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing the foundational systems, processes, and culture that will enable our team to operate at its best. From hiring and onboarding to organizational design and operational excellence, your work will touch every corner of BioHackHaus.

What You'll Do
  • Design and lead our hiring process: Manage sourcing, create interviewing frameworks, draft offer letters, and oversee onboarding.
  • Build our people foundation: Establish performance reviews, 1:1 cadences, compensation philosophies, and career pathways.
  • Develop our operating system: Oversee weekly leadership meetings, quarterly planning, RACI documentation, and tool selection.
  • Partner with leadership: Work closely with the CEO and cofounder to align strategy with organizational design and staffing plans.
  • Ensure HR compliance: Manage HR policies, I-9s, benefits administration, and employee relations for a Texas-based company.
  • Coach managers: Help managers transition from individual contributors to effective team leaders.
  • Manage vendor relationships: Oversee benefits, payroll, and HR tech vendors.
  • Support workplace setup: Lead the transition from remote to hybrid work in Q4, including office setup and workplace experience.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 6+ years in People, HR, or Operations roles, with at least 2 years at an early-stage company (Seed to Series B).
  • Builder mindset: Proven track record of creating people functions and systems from scratch.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, undefined environment.
  • Operational expertise: Strong instincts for creating systems like RACIs, meeting cadences, and clear ownership structures.
  • Knowledge of Texas employment law: Familiarity with compliance basics.
  • Coaching skills: A supportive mindset for developing managers and individual contributors.
  • Excellent written communication: Ability to document processes and systems effectively.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience in wellness, hospitality, health, or premium consumer brands.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Prior experience managing office setups or workplace design.
Why Join BioHackHaus?

At BioHackHaus, we’re not just building a company—we’re creating a movement. As a new biohacking company, we’re committed to innovation, growth, and making a meaningful impact in the markets we enter. This is a rare opportunity to shape the culture, systems, and future of a company from the ground up. If you’re excited by the challenge of building something new and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Ready to Build with Us?

If this sounds like the next step in your career, we want to hear from you! Apply now and help us lay the foundation for BioHackHaus’ future. Let’s create something extraordinary together.
