Job Description
Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (YSG) is seeking a highly qualified Data Manager to provide comprehensive Warfighter Training Support Services at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). The purpose of this position is to support the planning, development, execution, management, and evaluation of military training for approximately 4,200 cadets annually during both the academic year and summer training programs. This position will assist the USAFA in delivering a coherent, progressive, and operationally relevant 47-month cumulative military training continuum aligned with Department of the Air Force (DAF) readiness objectives, Joint Force expectations, and USAFA cadet development outcomes.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Serves as the primary Data Management and Quality Assurance (QA) representative.
  • Ensure TUTOR/Moodle workflows support usable, structured, and longitudinal training data capture, reporting, dashboards, and longitudinal visibility.
  • Provide design, evaluation, data, and digital support that may be local, remote, hybrid, travel-supported, or reach-back enabled.
  • In collaboration with the Evaluation Team, collectively execute all program evaluation activities across the WTIS framework.
  • Serve in a dual-hatted role between the Evaluation Team and the Digital Integration/Enterprise Application Support Team to ensure alignment between evaluation data requirements and system configuration.
  • Coordinate with the ISD Team, Evaluation Team, WTAs, and TU technical reach-back to maintain alignment among curriculum, assessment tools, data fields, dashboards, exports, and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize assessment data, performance observations, AAR inputs, safety findings, instructor feedback, and resource lessons inputs to inform courseware updates, scenario refinements, remediation pathways, instructor preparation, dashboard reporting, and annual program recommendations.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess 5 - 8 years' experience in Data Management with Quality Assurance (QA) experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Education Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Requires experience with data dictionary discipline, quality checks, Moodle/TUTOR exports, performance data management, report dataset preparation, and coordination with evaluation/digital support.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining large databases and implementing data governance policies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and overseeing data collection/analysis and assessment frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting program evaluation, After Action Reviews (AARs), and/or data-driven improvement initiatives.

Clearance: Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
