Remote scale operators are professionals who manage and monitor weighing systems, such as truck or industrial scales, from a remote location. They are responsible for ensuring accurate weight measurements, verifying load records, and maintaining communication with drivers and onsite staff. Their work often involves using specialized software and technology to operate scales, log data, and troubleshoot issues. Remote scale operators play a crucial role in industries like logistics, agriculture, and waste management, where accurate weight tracking is essential.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote scale operator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Scale Operator, you need attention to detail, basic math skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. What are some common challenges faced by remote scale operators and how can they be effectively managed?

Remote Scale Operators often face challenges such as maintaining accuracy while managing multiple simultaneous tasks, troubleshooting remote technology issues, and communicating effectively with on-site personnel. Staying organized and using digital tools to track loads and weights can help minimize errors. Job description

Job Title: Senior Enterprise Architect – Post-Acquisition Integration
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to lead target-state architecture and integration strategy for a post-acquisition initiative at a major healthcare organization.

This is a senior architecture leadership role for someone who has led large-scale enterprise solution architecture and technology programs. You will define integration principles for the acquired entity, evaluate technology alignment, drive application rationalization, and shape future-state operating models — while collaborating across architecture, engineering, business, and program teams.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead definition of target-state architecture and integration principles for the acquired entity.
  • Lead large-scale enterprise solution architecture and technology decisions across multiple platforms and workstreams.
  • Evaluate current-state technology landscapes against enterprise strategy and identify alignment gaps.
  • Drive application and platform rationalization (retain, retire, replace, consolidate) with clear decision criteria.
  • Design future-state operating models across business, application, data, and integration layers.
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, and design-authority practices.
  • Define integration architecture patterns that support a secure, scalable, and maintainable target state.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with solution architects, engineering leads, business stakeholders, integration teams, and program leadership.
  • Translate architecture decisions into actionable guidance that delivery teams can execute.
  • Produce architecture roadmaps and artifacts that support investment decisions and integration sequencing.
  • Guide domain and solution architects so delivery stays aligned to the approved target state.

Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and large-scale technology leadership.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise solution architecture and technology programs.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration from an architecture seat — partnering with engineering, business, security, integration, and program teams to drive decisions.
  • Proven experience defining target-state architecture for complex enterprise or post-acquisition environments.
  • Deep experience with integration architecture across multiple platforms and enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ownership of application rationalization programs with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong architecture governance experience, including design reviews and standards enforcement.
  • Ability to shape future-state operating models and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent executive communication skills — able to translate architecture decisions into business impact.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship now or in the future).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare, life-sciences, or other regulated-industry architecture experience.
  • Direct M&A / post-acquisition integration architecture leadership.
  • Experience with TOGAF or comparable EA frameworks used in delivery, not just certification.
  • Experience guiding multi-workstream integration programs with competing platform roadmaps.

About ZipStaff:
ZipStaff partners with leading organizations to connect skilled technology leaders with high-impact contract opportunities. We focus on quality matches and long-term success.

To apply, please submit your resume highlighting 15+ years of enterprise / solution architecture leadership, large-scale technology programs, cross-functional architecture collaboration, and application rationalization or post-acquisition integration work.
