We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our Information Technology team. This person will be responsible for delivering and maintaining solutions across Energy Solutions' Salesforce CRM environments. This role brings development capabilities in-house to support growing platform demands, an upcoming portal integration, and a client program expansion.
This is a hybrid work opportunity at one of our West Coast offices in Oakland, CA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce technical issues and system errors across both instances
  • Support end users with Salesforce functionality, access, and reporting needs
  • Monitor integrations and automations for failures or performance degradation
  • Develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions including Flows, Apex, LWC, and integrations
  • Build and maintain integration between Salesforce and external systems (portals, ERP, third-party platforms)
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and leadership needs
  • Perform system updates and ensure compatibility with Salesforce release cycles (3x per year)
  • Review and optimize data model, automation logic, and platform governance across both orgs
  • Support system audits to ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance standards
  • Test and implement Salesforce-delivered upgrades and feature releases
  • Provide training and documentation to business users on new functionality

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Technology, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Salesforce development
  • Certified in Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or II
  • Proven experience with Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce integrations
  • Experience supporting multiple Salesforce instances or multi-org environments preferred
  • Familiarity with data migration, portal integrations, and case management configurations
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, security model, and release management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and web services
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders and non-technical users

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified in Salesforce Integration Architecture Designer
  • Experience with portal-to-Salesforce integrations (e.g., Experience Cloud or third-party portals)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD)
  • Prior experience in energy, utilities, or government program administration
  • Exposure to Salesforce Einstein or AI/Agent Force features

The salary range for this role is $103,925-$129,189, with a target compensation of $103,925 - $120,000 based on experience and qualifications.
