Job description

CareDx is a leading precision medicine diagnostics company advancing care in transplant, specialty oncology, and cell therapy. Through our innovative portfolio of molecular diagnostics, digital health solutions, AI-powered data and analytics, and patient support services, we partner with healthcare providers, patients, and biopharma organizations to help inform clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.

Within CareDx's Specialty Oncology business, we are focused on improving the management of HPV-driven cancers through innovative diagnostic solutions. NavDx, our blood-based DNA test, helps clinicians detect molecular signs of disease recurrence, monitor treatment response, and guide patient management throughout the care journey. Our team is committed to expanding access to actionable insights that support more informed cancer care.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. Candidates within commuting distance of a CareDx office may be asked to come to the office on a regular basis; remote candidates will work and collaborate from home.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Master Data Management - Establish the systems, processes, standards, and governance model for customer master data across the entire CareDx business, including commercial, revenue cycle, market access, digital health, and operational stakeholders.  Implement and manage required MDM tools, such as clearMDM, and the data sources needed to support an accurate, trusted customer master.
  • Single Source of Truth - Develop and maintain trusted "golden records" for customer entities such as patients, providers, healthcare organizations, payer entities, and related commercial accounts.
  • Salesforce.com Stewardship - Serve as a key business owner and data steward for customer data within Salesforce.com, supporting account hierarchy design, customer onboarding, deduplication, data change requests, and downstream commercial processes.
  • Identity Resolution - Use matching logic, data stewardship workflows, and business rules to identify, resolve, and prevent duplicate, incomplete, or conflicting customer records across CRM, billing, laboratory, and data warehouse environments.
  • Initial Data Clean-up - Lead the initial clean-up and normalization of customer master data, including duplicate resolution, source reconciliation, standardization, enrichment, and remediation of high-impact data quality issues before ongoing governance processes are operationalized.
  • HIPAA Compliance & Privacy - Ensure master data handling, access, encryption, auditability, and data-sharing processes align with HIPAA and internal privacy and information security policies for PHI/PII.
  • Data Governance - Define and operationalize data ownership models, data standards, decision rights, approval workflows, data quality metrics, data cataloging practices, and routines for governance forums that sustain data hygiene across the enterprise.
  • System Integration - Partner with Commercial Operations, IT, Analytics, Revenue Cycle, Market Access, and vendor teams to manage integrations and data flows between Salesforce.com, MDM platforms, data warehouses, reporting tools, and downstream operational systems.
  • Data Quality Management - Lead initial customer data clean-up, address standardization, identity verification, completeness checks, routine audits, remediation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve customer data accuracy, usability, and ongoing data hygiene.
  • Process Documentation & Training - Document standard operating procedures, stewardship playbooks, escalation paths, and training materials to support consistent, compliant customer data management across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership - Translate business requirements into data management solutions and communicate clearly with business stakeholders, data stewards, technology partners, compliance teams, and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience - 5+ years of experience in customer master data management, data governance, data stewardship, commercial operations, CRM data management, or related data operations roles, with direct healthcare or life sciences experience.
  • Salesforce.com - Hands-on experience managing customer, account, provider, or patient-related data in Salesforce.com is required.
  • Healthcare Data & PHI - Experience working with sensitive patient data, provider data, payer data, PHI, and/or PII in a regulated healthcare environment is required.
  • Regulatory Knowledge - Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, privacy principles, access controls, audit expectations, and compliant handling of sensitive healthcare data.
  • MDM & Governance - Experience with MDM platforms or customer mastering capabilities such as Informatica, Profisee, Verato, Reltio, or similar tools; experience establishing data governance frameworks, data stewardship processes, and data quality metrics.
  • Systems & Data Skills - Familiarity with SQL, data warehouses or cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, data cataloging tools such as Collibra, and reporting or analytics tools.
  • Commercial Operations - Understanding of provider, account, territory, patient, payer, and healthcare organization data and how it supports commercial execution, reporting, market access, billing, and customer engagement.
